Brax Roadmap Event 2026 - Announcing What's Next
We are happy to announce our product roadmap, including three new devices, all scheduled for 2027: Brax Wink, WallUp and Posthuman 00.
Rob Braxman presented them at this year's Brax Roadmap Event. The event runs eleven minutes and covers key highlights of each product. This post is the summary.
The three devices
Brax Wink - the Secure Communicator
Brax Wink is a compact phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard and a four inch display.
What sets it apart is a hardware switch that cuts power to the cellular modem, so while the switch is off there is no radio for a tower to find. It runs de-Googled Android in two modes, Zero and Omni, with Linux officially supported, and calls go over VoIP so no carrier account is attached to the owner. It will be the first Android phone to ship with open source drivers, firmware, OS and apps. Brax Wink opens for reservations later this month. WallUp - the Smart Wall Display
WallUp is a wall mounted home automation panel that runs entirely inside the home.
Automations, sensor data and voice are processed on the panel itself, with no cloud in the loop, so it keeps working when the internet does not. It is Home Assistant native and expands with add-on speakers, microphones, a camera and motion, proximity and CO2 sensors. Planned for 2027.
Posthuman 00 - the Pocket AI Phone
**Posthuman 00** is a four inch phone built around AI that runs on the device. With roughly 50 TOPS of neural compute, it runs AI agents locally, which means prompts and personal data stay on the handset. It is a complete phone with a 5G modem, bought once with no subscription, and owners can build their own apps directly on it. Planned for late 2027.
All three run on one stack: nothing from Big Tech underneath, open source throughout, and privacy handled in hardware rather than by policy.
